Thoughts from Sun Tzu:
"The condition of a military force is that its essential factor is speed, taking advantage of others' failure to catch up, going by routes they do not expect, attacking where they are not on guard."
I was thinking today about how we lose alot of games on smaller maps, and this quote just popped up and I think it applies to our problems.
On smaller maps (Midship, Warlock, Gemini) there isn't always time to coordinate, call out positions and vocalize teamwork. The game becomes more about speed and agility on an individual basis. However, that does not mean that teamwork isn't essential to winning.
What we need to develop in these games is a "pack mind", where each person is aware at all times of what the rest of the pack is doing. Call it the buddy system if you like, because basically what it boils down to is try not to fight alone.
Upon spawning, find a teammate! See what weapons they have and grab something complimentary. That way when you run into enemies (and you will, quickly) you either have superior numbers or at least even numbers to minimize the kill count in their favor.
This becomes even more important on a map like Warlock where BR control can lock down the entire board. Taking down just one BR can provide a hole in the other team's armor that we can exploit and get back in the game.
Just remember, even when there isn't time to talk you should be listening to the sounds of fire, watching the HUD and working to get back to the team. Solo = Nono.
