If you have played BTB with me, you have probably heard me yell this a thousand times, "Get a strong line guys" or, "Hold the line."
You may have no idea what the hell I'm talking about, which is why I am making this post.
A fighting line is the positions you hold on the field. Lines can be strong or weak depending on how you support each other. For instance, a strong fighting line on Coag would be something like 2 players in the light side rocks, a Ghost patrolling the RL area of midfield, and 2 more player on the dark side ridge. All player can support each other and no enemy can get through unless we decide to let them or the send a lot of force, which leaves them weak on the back side.
I will be posting more on this later, but keep this in mind: holding a strong position and waiting for reinforcements to keep a good fighting line may be more important that taking advantage of what looks like a clean run on the enemy base. That way we can move in force and stay coordinated.

To back up Dread's final point. Often when you run in to try to exploit a nuimber of recent enemey deaths, you get there just as they all respawn. Then it's the two or three that ran forward who get creamed leaving the line substatuallyweakened until the your respawns can advance from the base. Coodinated asaults, defensive actions, and retreats are the only way to truly dominate at the larger games. If we all run around like idiots, that's how we'll die...like special idiots.

Agreed... Strong lines are a must. Having someone get your back is double the firepower and double the shielding. With position and weapon strats, holding a strong line is the only way to do it IMO.
